Neuropsychological Assessment

Fuller Psychological and Family Services (FPFS) specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological outpatient evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. If you or someone you know is struggling with ADHD, intellectual disability, communication disorder, autism spectrum disorder, or a specific learning disorder, a neuropsychological assessment is the first step to diagnosis and treatment. Evaluations can also diagnose bipolar, depressive, and anxiety disorders.

A typical evaluation includes assessment of:

  • General intellectual functioning
  • Academic skills (reading, writing, math)
  • Attention/concentration
  • Learning and memory
  • Language skills
  • Visuoperception and visuospatial skills
  • Motor skills
  • Behavioral and emotional functioning
  • Social functioning

An initial interview gathers developmental history and identifies goals. Testing is typically done over two days (Monday and Wednesday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm).

Assessment results support:

  • Understanding developmental or medical issues
  • Identifying strengths and weaknesses
  • Addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges
  • Helping providers recommend treatments and accommodations

Licensed supervisors oversee trained assessment clerks (doctoral-track students).
